The new financial year brings a new work programme for the SDC. As well as continuing projects such as our work feeding into Scotland's new National Food Policy, work will commence on some exciting new projects.
We are also working on the second assessment of sustainable development in Scotland. This will concentrate on the key areas for action identified in last year's report, as well as looking at how the government structure and performance framework is delivering sustainable development, including the role of Local Outcome Agreements (LOA). As the detail of LOA will not be finalised until July, the second assessment is expected to be published in Winter 2008.
