Summary:This report calls on the Government to set more ambitious targets for improving sustainability on the Government estate in order to lead by example and contribute to UK-wide targets on climate change and resource depletion.

It also highlights issues with both the data and the barriers to further progress against sustainable operations and procurement goals.

In response to the reviewer who considers a report to be a waste of tax-payers money, I would like to ask her/him to ask themselves who pays for the governments fuel bills, and then to see if they still believe that reports which encourage energy efficiency on the government estate's to still be a waste of money. I am grateful to the SDC for producing consistently high quality unbiased research.

I'm sorry but Global Cooling??

Of course the melting of the ice in the Artic must be due to 'cooling' of the earths temperature...why don't you put your case forward to the polar bears who are losing their resting ground and so increasingly ending up drowning!?

Far too long - a report on sustainability that runs to 115 pages is not in itself sustainable!

PS the star ratings are now too complicated - how about one rating per department?

It's a beautiful report but too long. You could have condensed those messages into 10 pages.

The imagery is perfect but when it's surrounded by that number of words it becomes lost.

The recommendations section in particular could do with some pargaraphs.
