How does it work?
When thinking about panel topics the SDC engagement team will think about:
• the relevance to the SDC work programme
• the relevance to panel members
• the most appropriate method to engage with members
How do we choose a method?
This will depend on the subject matter and how we intend to use the information we collect. Our main forms of engagement with members will be:
• Online consultations- structured debate consisting of two 3 week sessions
• Online forums - unstructured debate direct with other members
• Online polling - structured survey
• Workshops - group discussion and exercises with facilitator
For some projects it may be appropriate to use more than one method to meet the project objectives.
How will the information be used?
Findings will be fed into specific policy work programme and projects to help guide our policy and advice to government. All information may be published in SDC reports or on our website.
