The Greening Campaign began in Petersfield and has now been taken up by a further 22 communities with a further 30 waiting to start.
The point of the campaign is to make fighting Climate Change fun and exciting, drawing communities together, and having achievable goals.
The Campaign offers communities a structure to work through that will help them move towards becoming more sustainable.
Phase 1 engages the members of the community (last result East Meon engaged 23% of the community to make changes in behaviour in the first 6 weeks of the campaign).
Phase 2 supports the community in projects and fundraising, covering areas such as food, energy use, water use etc
Phase 3 understanding adaptation to climate change
Phase 4 Monitoring and evaluation a change in mindset.
We are working with a number of local councils at Parish, Town, Borough, District and County level.
The campaign is a structure for communities to work through for themselves we do not do it for them. It allows individual communites to add their personality and individuality to the mix, creating a different experience each time.
