Overview

The company was set up to reduce congestion by promoting sustainable transport modes in and around Dyce, Aberdeen.

It is believed to be the first in the UK. Other organisations have used travel planning as a tool in the management of an industrial estate but no group of employers has ever come together with the specific intention of tackling congestion.

Management of the company by a dedicated professional (supplied by VipreUK Ltd) with novel freebies and an enthusiastic approach has set this company on the road to successfully realising the aspirations of its member companies.

Companies have already found the company has benefited them by acting as a conduit for comments on, for example, the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and improved cycle routes between Aberdeen and Dyce.

Companies have found that rather than acting alone, links to for example, NESTRANS, the Scottish Executive and public transport operators have become more efficient since the companies are now acting together.
